Jim Hudson Toyota-Scion is proud to be named one of the Top 100 "Best Dealerships to Work For" by Automotive News. Selected from more than 18,000 dealerships across the United States, Jim Hudson earned this honor with its low turnover rates, solid benefits, and family atmosphere. But according to Mr. Hudson, it all starts with total dedication to customer satisfaction, and that mentality reminds employees that Jim Hudson Automotive Group is about more than simple sales numbers.
To improve the quality of life at his dealerships, Mr. Hudson also has a corporate chaplain to assist employees on a spiritual and emotional level. Steve Acree has been with the group for more than seven years. As an ordained minister, he officiates at weddings and funerals, makes hospital visits, and rotates through all six Jim Hudson dealerships to identify employee needs.
Hudson's spiritual focus also extends to his dealerships' business hours. None of his stores are open on Sunday, guaranteeing his employees time off with their families and allowing them to practice their faith.
According to Customer Relations Manager Dave Ellison, it's important for the company to acknowledge that its employees have families and lives outside of the workplace. "Our employees are encouraged to take time off, attend the little league games and dance recitals, go to church..." he says.
All of these things have contributed to a happier and more dedicated team of professionals within the Jim Hudson Toyota-Scion, and it's the company's goal to pass that positive attitude and satisfying experience on to its customers.
