If you are interested in the new Toyota RAV4 and how it will enhance your daily commute, you will likely compare it to the 2020 Nissan Rogue. How does it stack up against the competition? We’re comparing the 2020 Nissan Rogue vs. 2020 Toyota RAV4 so you can see why the newest Toyota RAV4 is the chosen SUV for many Newberry families. We assess these SUVs in three categories: fuel economy, performance, and features. RAV4 vs. Rogue? Which will end up on your driveway? Let’s find out!

Nissan Rogue vs. Toyota RAV4: Fuel Economy

Gas mileage can be just as big of a deciding factor as the cost. Especially if you plan on putting a lot of miles on your new Toyota vehicle. When it comes to fuel economy, the RAV4 dominates, thanks to the two available hybrid configurations, the RAV4 LE Hybrid and the RAV4 XLE Hybrid.

These Hybrid trims give drivers an EPA-estimated gas mileage of 41 mpg in the city and 38 mpg on the highway. There are no hybrid configurations for the Rogue, so your best EPA-estimated gas mileage is 26 mpg in the city and 33 mpg on the highway. Save on your new RAV4 purchase when you take advantage of our new vehicle specials or RAV4 lease offers.

2020 Nissan Rogue vs. Toyota RAV4: Performance

Both SUVs come standard with a 2.4L four-cylinder engine, but the new RAV4 outshines the 2020 Rogue in both horsepower and torque. Expect 203 hp from every gas-powered RAV4 trim, but only 170 hp from the Nissan Rogue. The RAV4 provides a stronger 184 lb-ft of torque compared to the Rogue’s 175 lb-ft of torque.

2020 Nissan Rogue vs. Toyota RAV4: Features

The 2020 Nissan Rogue comes with some interior features available on other vehicles, but the RAV4 comes with numerous extras not available on the Rogue. For instance:

  • Heated front seats are available in the RAV4 XLE.
  • There are five USB ports in the RAV4 vs. two in the Rogue.
  • The RAV4 has Road Sign Assist, meaning your vehicle actually recognizes some road signs and will alert you accordingly.

These are features that will help make your drives around Lexington more enjoyable.
