Our family has been buying vehicles from Jim Hudson Toyota for years, and our most recent experience reminded us exactly why. My husband and I recently decided we needed a larger SUV for our family. After bringing our vehicle home, we realized there had been a mix-up and that the vehicle we had was not the one we originally intended to purchase. We understood that situations like this can be complicated, and we also understood that the dealership was under no obligation to make the process as easy as they ultimately did. Jim Hudson Toyota could not have handled it better. Within three days, they located the vehicle we wanted. They allowed us to keep the original vehicle while they found the new one, handled the exchange, and made sure we were not left with an additional financial burden as a result of the situation. During that second transaction, we worked with Jackson and Kendrick. Both were informative, helpful, and patient throughout the exchange. They made what could have been a stressful process feel organized and straightforward, and we appreciated the way they communicated with us from beginning to end. As business owners ourselves, we understand that mistakes and unexpected situations happen. What matters is how a business responds when they do. We have experienced our share of disappointing business transactions over the years, but that cannot be said about Jim Hudson Toyota. It was very clear to us that their leadership values the reputation of the dealership and, more importantly, the trust of their customers. What meant the most to us was knowing that making the situation right came at a cost to the dealership. Before buying, I researched comparable SUVs and dealerships within 50 miles. The vehicles that I found were listed approximately $5,000 higher than what Jim Hudson Toyota offered us. We took the Sequoia to Gatlinburg for the weekend shortly after purchasing it, and it exceeded our expectations. It gave our family the space and comfort we were looking for, and after spending several hours on the road in it, we felt even better about our decision. All in all, Jim Hudson Toyota had an opportunity to do only what was required of them. Instead, they chose to go above and beyond. For that alone, I could not recommend them more highly.

We worked with Caleb Cataline and he was great and easy to work with. He was not pushy, listened to our needs, patient, and answered all questions we had. It was a pleasant experience and we will recommend Jim Hudson Toyota to others.

Excellent service. Immaculate place of business throughout with friendly staff. The usual attempts at upsale were polite. Communication was very good. Wait time to complete routine service was pretty long but I think sign of the times due to staffing. I have satisfactorily purchased several cars over the years from Hudson Toyota and recommend them. We live a little over an hour away from the Columbia area. We went down this past Saturday to look at Camry's. However my first stop at a dealership near by was not the best experience so we left. However, as soon as we walked into Jim Hudson, we were greeted by Rich. He asked how he could help and if we had an appointment. We told him we didn’t, but that we were looking for a Camry, and he was more than happy to help us. Once we explained our plans to purchase, Rich had two Camrys ready for us to look at and test drive. I liked the first one, but the second one… I fell in love! After talking through the price and working out a deal we were comfortable with, Rich continued to go above and beyond. Before we left to make the drive back home, he made sure the car had a full tank of gas and was freshly detailed. After a lot of research about car reliability and pricing, including sitting in a number of cars at dealerships before I was even ready to buy, I drove home Tuesday from Jim Hudson Toyota with my new Corolla Hatchback. This is the first car I have bought on my own. It was hard for me in a big way, but I met Zak Zartmann who patiently answered all of my questions and concerns with no pressure. I didn't get numerous calls and texts from him every day, but when I initiated calls or texts with questions, he answered right away. I also met Nick in finance. He took time to fully explain my options and again didn't add pressure to make a sale. (That hasn't always been the case in car purchases over the years.) We had negotiated a fair price, and I left feeling excited about my new car, not only excited, but confident that I have a quality place I can go for car help if I ever need it. Zak is the main reason I bought my car from Jim Hudson. Meeting him first set the tone for the rest of the purchase. I wasn't going to add this, but my husband's death is why I was on my own. Even though I didn't choose some of the things that would have added to the cost of the sale, I was treated with thoughtfulness and integrity by Zak and Nick. We visited Jim Hudson Toyota in Irmo about two years ago, and might as well have been invisible, as no one acknowledged us initially. To be fair, a promotion was going on at that time, with participants invited to bring in rub-off ads, but I was hesitant to visit again. This time, we visited at my wife's request, as she saw a RAV4 in the lot that interested her. I made it clear to Chase, our sales guy, and the management team that SHE was the customer, not me. My wife underwent a major surgery 11 days earlier, so wasn't in the mood for small talk, she just wanted the facts on the car she liked. Chase was immediately responsive, and made the process easy. We pointed out that we (she) planned to pay in full immediately. Thankfully, no one pushed financing options on us (which is typical with most dealers), and she was able to complete the transaction within an hour. As she couldn't drive yet after her surgery, Chase was good enough to deliver the new vehicle, and pick up out trade-in just a couple of hours after the sale. I'm in the marketing a public relations business, and it's nice to see that the folks at Jim Hudson have gotten their act in order. We're happy to recommend Chase and the other sales staff if you're in the market for a new vehicle.

I could not speak more highly of the Jim Hudson Toyota. They did such an AMAZING job helping me lease a BRAND NEW 2026 Toyota Camry! I left home Saturday afternoon with a friend intent on returning with a car. I had the most wonderful experience than I’ve ever had. I dreaded going to look for a car b/c I knew from past experiences at other dealerships the sales person are out in the parking lot in your face BEFORE you can exit the car like vultures. I left the dealership feeling I had a good “honest” deal only to find out 60 days after purchase that I had been lied to. Originally, I had asked to tag the vehicle in South Dakota like my others. They brought back two price. Saying S. Dakota was about $1500 and S. Carolina was $599. I said that surprised me as SD is always less. As you pay an upfront 4% tax but never taxed again on the vehicle only a tag renew which is minimal. Their response was quote” No, S. Carolina is only 599 for the same thing.” Do SC and we can get the price where you want it”. Against my better judgement but being new to SC I went along with it. Only to find out on the day my first payment was due I owe ANOTHER $1000+ dollars to the county. The exact tax I explained I was trying to avoid by tagging it in South Dakota! Which anyone is allowed to do, by the way. They pulled this trick to make the over all numbers work in the deal, so I would buy. Completely against what I said I wanted and now I’ll end up paying thousands more than what I thought to fix this and retag it in SD! This also makes me wonder what else they tricked me into, with the additional warranty & financing. Buyer Beware!!! After being ripped off on the sales floor, I now enter the service part of “THE JIM HUDSON EXPERIENCE!” Absolutely incredible! Best customer service I’ve ever had from any dealership (including luxury brands) in 40 years of buying cars. Communication A+, Time in Service A+, Politeness A+, Quality of Work A+ Overall a fantastic group of service department staff! Can’t be beat. The sales team? Watch out! Had an excellent experience buying at Jim Hudson Toyota. Angel Cedeno was very helpful throughout the process, even sending us a video prior to our appointment. Chuck Gainey made us feel welcomed and cared for. Lee Gillian ensured we got the otd price we wanted. Overall, we had an excellent experience.

I bought a 2026 Camry from Zak Zartmann. My experience was professional and it was good to get into something new. I had recently bought a gmc the year before but it had many issues. I am very satisfied with my new purchase at Toyota!
